I-80 Spring Meltdown postponed
By Trenton Berry, Lucas Oil MLRA (Greenwood, NE) -- With precipitation already in the area and more forecast for the weekend, Lucas Oil MLRA officials and I-80 Speedway Officials have decided it's best to postpone the weekend's scheduled racing.
"We'd love to have had a little cooperation with mother nature this weekend, but this is just the way it goes sometimes," commented Assistant Series Director Ernie Leftwich. "We love running at I-80 Speedway, and will be excited to showcase the Lucas Oil MLRA there again as part of the Silver Dollar Nationals weekend, if not before."
Officials are currently looking at the possibilities for makeup dates, in hopes of still running the Spring Meltdown this season.
