Top-5 finish in MLRA Fall Nationals finale at Lucas Oil Speedway

On Friday afternoon Garrett Alberson returned with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the two-day Fall Nationals. Drawing 33 cars, Alberson topped the speed charts in time trials before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting on the pole for the opening night feature, Garrett dropped nine spots in the 40-lap affair to register a 10th place finish.

For the $5,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Garrett followed up the fastest lap overall in qualifying with a fourth place finish in his heat. Rolling off 10th, Alberson clawed forward five spots in the 50-lapper to place fifth behind Billy Moyer Jr., Jason Papich, Jeremiah Hurst, and Billy Moyer. (Todd Boyd photo)

Garrett has climbed to fifth in the latest Lucas Oil MLRA point standings.
