11th-place finish in MLRA opener at Maquoketa

Thursday night found Jeremy Conaway in action at Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa) to lift the lid on an action-packed weekend with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA). The following night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the River City Rumble, Conaway failed to make a lap in his heat race before pulling off early in his B-Main. Earning a provisional into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Jeremy was an early retiree on lap 21.

For the weekend finale on Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.), Jeremy posted an eighth-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 22nd on the starting grid for the finale. With $5,000 on the line, Conaway passed four cars in the 40-lapper to finish 18th.

On Sunday, Conaway detoured to East Moline Speedway (East Moline, Ill.) to pilot the Mike Guldenpfennig-owned No. 91 IMCA Late Model. Earning the 10th-starting position for the A-Main via preliminary event, Jeremy dropped one spot to place 11th.
