12th-place finish in MLRA opener at 81 Speedway

On Friday evening, Mason Oberkramer was back behind the wheel of the Oberkramer Trucking No. 93 Late Model at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.) for the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) opening weekend. In a field of 39 cars, Mason was forced to take a provisional into the opening night feature after getting behind the eight-ball in time trials. The following night, Oberkramer came in fourth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. Starting the $7,000-to-win A-Main in eighth, Mason was collected in a multiple-car tangle on lap 23 that ended his night immediately.
