Vandenbergh records 10th-place finish with Lucas Oil MLRA at 81 Speedway

The 2022 season got underway for Kolby Vandenbergh on Friday afternoon at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.) aboard his Vandenbergh Concrete & Excavating No. 15 Late Model for the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) opening weekend. Drawing 39 cars for the two-day Heartland Hustle, Vandenbergh followed up the third-fastest time in his group with a second-place finish in his heat. On Saturday afternoon, Kolby came in fifth in his heat before placing second in his B-Main. Starting the $7,000-to-win A-Main in 17th, Vandenbergh advanced forward seven spots in the 40-lapper to register a 10th-place finish.
