Mason Oberkramer

Oberkramer races to Top-10 finish at Wheatland

With Mother Nature wiping out the tripleheader event a week prior, Mason Oberkramer followed the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Friday for the two-day Spring Nationals. In a field of 38 cars, Oberkramer edged his way into the A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. With $5,000 on the line, Mason dropped one spot in the 30-lapper to place 17th. For the $7,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Mason was forced to take a provisional into the A-Main after missing a transfer spot in his heat race and B-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Oberkramer advanced through the field 13 positons to register a 10th-place finish.
